Stay-at-home Mom

One day very soon, I will be deeply entrenched in my career again. I'm sure that when I look back on these days at home, I will long for them again. I feel like I always have so much to do, but not much to show for my hours spent here. The schedule is so laid back and flexible, but I always seem to be running late for something. So, here is my day at a glance. A huge thank you goes out to the woman that taught me how to be a mom. She set up many forts and picnics on the deck. She also endured some pretty questionable lunches served by her French waiters, Jill and Jock (he he) If you've ever thought...jill's a good mom...it is because of her influence in my life. (And the grace of God that keeps me sane with four boys in my home)
Love you, Mom!!

*people I helped get ready for the "real" world today...3
*people who are still here following me around begging for Halloween candy...2
*number on the clock when I finally grabbed a shower...11:00
*Loads of laundry washed, but with no hope of getting folded today...3
*number of diapers/pull-ups I've changed so far...5
*Times I've wiped Baby's nose...1,000,000
*Times I've kissed Baby's soft chubby face...1,000,000
*Biggest accomplishment of the day...made a fantastic fort
*places I'd rather be today...nowhere
(unless of course, I could take the whole crew with me. Then, I'd maybe pick Cabo) :)

That fort is awesome!! What a mom...I've been a bit stressed out by some of our boys attempts at fort building of late...they want to drag pillows from all the couches in the house upstairs, blankets from every cupboard...but actually joining them and helping construct one...that never crossed my mind. That is the privilege of being a SAHM. This post made me so thankful I am one.

The video is LOL funny!!

You ARE a super mom! I knew it! The rule on forts in our house is DO NOT ASK MOMMY TO HELP because crying and screaming always ensues when Mommy doesn't build it to *Chuck's specifications.

*Name changed to protect innocent
